Maureen - MG seeds will stay viable for many, many years if stored in a cool, dark, dry area. They are always worth trying to grow regardless of age. Even the oldest seeds often sprout! Go for it! Good luck with your MG germination!

Hi,

I just planted some 4 years old Mgs about three days ago and they are all germinating.

Good luck!

I have a MG plant that germinated out from a seed that was collected in the 1960s. It is species Ipomoea nil, with variegated leaves. It had flower buds but they dropped off. More buds are on the way, can't wait to see its flowers.

Well you guys are right no the money -- almost all of the seeds are sprouting.

Wow, from the 1960's that's amazing.
