No lilies blooming here. But some do have buds on them :-))
But the yard is already starting to look good even though it's early here. So please take a look at some of my garden.
I was planting lupines yesterday and today that I bought potted locally. I just love them :-))
Some pictures of my Gardens.
Your front yard is beautiful Rita! Love the iris, and it looks like lilies and daylilies aren't far behind.
Ahhhhh, Newyorkrita...your garden is stunning!
Keep sending those photos!
I love to dream about flowers in bloom.
All I have are daffs and the cutest little Bucharica Irises.
Tulips are getting ready to bloom, and then we'll be getting more snow.
Last week we had 6 inches of fresh snow and covered everything.
Thank goodness that the daffodils are hardly! They keep popping back up as soon as the snow melts. The stems actually froze, then thawed in the sun.
Purple Sensation are doing well too.
Wish I can post photos, but I am not sure on how to do that in this forum.
If anyone can help, I will surely appreciate it!
Oh, and my summer blooms for lilies will be around late August into September or so. We have an extended late summer for lilies. It will an explosion of color and the fragrance will travel throughout the neighborhood.
Ah, the joys of patience.
TPNursery, I'm curious, how do you protect your garden from the wildlife up there? I've only passed through Tahoe, never checked out the residential areas.
Rita, Your garden looks like it is about to burst!! Isn`t this a special time of year? Your roses look so green and healthy. Do you spray for disease? I`m not familiar with your area and if Black Spot is a problem for you. Your lilies look wonderful and I can`t wait to see your pictures when all start to open. I know you must work yourself to death!! But, oh.....it`s worth it to create such beauty. Congratulations on a fabulous spring. Lesley
Blackspot runs rampant here in all our part of the mid-atlantic. I spray my roses with a systemic fungicide every two weeks like clockwork. Fungicide only as my garden is very wildlife friendly and planted to attract backyard songbirds, hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.
Just gorgeous, Rita!
Absolutely breathtaking NYRita!.
We're getting in more snow in the days ahead.
No joyful singing here.
Although I love to see all the photos that everyone sends in.
Especially NYritas!
Why thank you :-))
I think I would go bonkers if we had snow in May here.
We get snow in June too.
Whatever happened to Spring in Tahoe? lol
We're having our annual Renaissance Fair the first weekend of June.
And it always snows!
Will be joyful in costume and in good weather.
enjoy your gardens!
It's all looking really good, Rita. :) Very very pretty. :)
Such a beautiful garden!
