I have one going into her third year here, and have yet to see the blooms (mostly I think because of my pruning her down the first couple years). This year I'm letting her bloom, then I will maybe try pruning down again to give her more stems next year. She's got a couple buds, but no flowers yet. I can't wait to see them!
As the pic shows, she's so slow at growth here! And she has been hard pruned the first couple years. I hope she does better this year. She's a tiny plant still.

How do you tell Frankesa Marie from Kiri te Kanawa??

Kiri seems to have more petals and the colour is more lavendar...it's a hybrid of Chalcedony and Beauty of Worcester..

Franziska Maria is a deeper bluish purple in my gardens...looks darker than the ones on COTW
