FYI - The HVAC person (shop is in Merriam, Kansas) just told me that all their vans had been broken into this weekend at their shop in Merriam. The boss had told me his van had been broken into at his house a couple of months ago and the tools also stolen. Sounds like the same type of theft is happening all over Merriam to service vans and shops. The boss said that the police have not been notifying any of the service shops int he area. The first time he talked with the police there were already 42 thefts. If you know any service people who live or work in that area you might let them know about the break ins.
