Hello all,

New member of these forums so be gentle if I missed this info somewhere :)

I recently found what is presumably a queen maple on our craigslist here in Houston. The former owners figured it looked bad because it needed more sun :(.

So for a good deal i took it off their hands. Its suffering from burn on all of its leaves, not many are dead but all are burnt. Now after repotting and some very minimal pruning, I'm womdering what the conventional wisdom would be? Prune at all or just wait it out? (it's in a nice shady spot now, presumable much more happy)

Thanks
Kris

Wait it out. Prune next year if necessary. Only allow early morning sun. You have a lot of heat down in Texas which might play havoc with the maples so I would say afternoon shade is a must.
