Food Security Solution

Cuba has already mastered urban gardening and now they're concentrating on the suburbs using sustainable organic methods. They want to eliminate imports, create employment, conserve energy and feed the populace. The idea is to grow local food and if history repeats, they will be very successful.

All the experts keep repeating that we can't feed ourselves without GE crops, chemicals, government subsidies, etc. I think if they'd just shut up and get out of the way that we probably could. It's a complete disgrace how that little impoverished island has put together one of the best medical systems in the world and now they're going to have food security while we lose ground everyday.
