Snake ID please

My second snake for the season , but I've put out moth balls every where and didn't put any in the area this baby snake was found at.

I've not seen one like this, it has an orange belly.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking it may be a worm snake or a red-bellied water snake.

never heard of either of them, I knew it was a new snake for us.

KA, it looks kind of like the brown snakes we see often in our flower beds. They are small. Here's a link to the Ark Game & Fish site. I use it a lot to id snakes --- cuz you know we've got 'em!

it does look like that doesn't it, I threw out a bunch more moth balls after I saw that one LOL
