What the heck is this??

We are stumped here at work! my initial inclination was a Rose of Sharon, or some kind of hibiscus, but the stamen and stalks are wrong for both. Any help will be appreciated!!

Well I'll be darned!! It was a bit bigger picture and those leaves are familiar!!
I'll see what i can come up with..

Can you tell us some more information? Is it growing in your yard, has it returned each year or did it just show up, and how big is it (looks tall from your picture)? Does the plant have multiple stems with flowers or just the one stem? Does it have a scent? Your right, it does resemble other flowers, but the leaves are really stumping me. Hopefully someone can identify because it looks lovely!
