Hortons used to be located just south of Winchester on Route 11, now they're in a brand new spot on 522 about halfway between Front Royal and Winchester.
It is nice, lots of pretty plants and oodles of supplies, garden art, etc. I was a bit appalled at the prices. Most of the garden decor was about double the price you'd expect and the plants were a bit pricy too. Five dollars for a quart pot of annuals, for example. But they did have some nice, healthy looking plants and a decent selection of perennials including some new varieties that would be hard to find.
However, I found quite a few pots that had no label anywhere telling what a plant was.
I just peeked at the shrubs and trees. What I saw looked healthy and good sized. I only looked at the price on one and gasped at the price. They had some Weeks roses, which is a big plus, and J&P roses. Very nice looking plants. They were $29.99 each.
Anyway, definitely worth a stop if you're out this way.
Went to the new Horton's Nursery in Stephens City yesterday
