The gift of giving

Sometimes you never know what will come back around when you give something away. This beauty is 'Play with Fire' courtesy of Figaro52 sent to me during a number of trades and gifts in '08. One of the very few modern irises I intend to keep.

I think you may have the wrong photo there. The one in the pix, sure looks like Change of Pace. I think Play With Fire is red.

You are correct. I received 'Change of Pace' at the same time from Figaro52 with a pic to boot. That is an example of how easy it is to mistakenly identify an iris and pass it along under the wrong name. It was entirely my mistake.

I have mis-labeled a few of mine as well. Then when they bloom, I have to swap markers.

Whatever it's name is, that is one beautiful Iris, Gardenrose. Lucky you!!

Yes, indeed, it's Change of Pace. And it looks great in your garden! It's a phenomenal grower and one of the earlier blooming TBs.

As the clumps increase it's hard to tell which marker belongs to which clump!
