What likes to eat Rhododendrons

Something is munching on my Rhododendron. What likes to eat them and how to get rid of the pest.

I'd guess deer, but if you could describe the type of damage you're seeing, how high up it is off the ground, etc that could help confirm.

Not deer. eats little bites along the edges- I suspect some kind of insect.

thanks for the link. looks like the root weevil. It's interesting though because I have two different small Rhodos right beside each other and one gets eaten and the other is untouched,

I've noticed the same. One plant can be chewed to bits and a different Rhodo next to it looks ok.
