Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Gotcha on the Begonia grandis Geo!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

George, I can hook you up with a butterfly bush and some hostas. You might get the same ones you got last year though!!!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

George, I have plenty of tall ferns for you. Also daylilies, several kinds...can't tell you the names though....and probably iris too!
Is anyone interested in anemones? These are pinkish, and they run everywhere! They are tall, and bloom in the fall. They are pretty.
I also have ferns, daylilies, unnamed, iris, unnamed, and will see what else I can part with. Ask me..and maybe I will have it?

I m always looking for shade plants.
Marcy i would love a fern. :)

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Gotcha on the ferns Sue. Don't have much else in the way of shade plants, cause I don't have much shade! But I'll look around!

Marcy thanks ! yea :) did you want a hydrangea ? i think you asked for one awhile back. I got some . i have PeeGee and oh i can't remember the other one ? its a Paniculata variety. Will get the name tomorrow.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Hi Sue. Thanks on the hydrangea thoughts, but I really have a lot of them already. The only one I am looking for right now is the new Big Ball Annabelle one. Or that strawberry and cream one...lol. I know...picky picky! But I do have lots of them.
Thanks anyway.

South Point, OH(Zone 6a)

Celene, could I have a ninebark?

Marcy I would like the pink anemone, and I will bring you the white one you wanted.

Joyce, I'd like a pink octopus campanula.

I can offer:
epimediums
small yellow hostas
yellow corydalis
flowering quince
burning bush
rose of sharon
nandina
coneflowers

Columbus, OH

I'm looking for a buddleia alternifolia if anyone has a cutting...

George, I'll try and root you a Black Knight Buddleia if you want. Mine's just now leafing out.

I have some assorted annuals and perennials that are seedlings, I'll pot up what I need. I'm likely to have extra Campanula carpatica, campanula rotundifolia, Oenothera--I have pink and white flowering, some dianthus, and probably blue flax. Maybe more.

I took cuttings of red twig variegated dogwood, and roses: Zephirine Drouhine, miniature climber Jeanne LaJoie, and Cecile Brunner. And of course Ninebark and Hakuro Nishiki willow, we'll see how they root!

I also have a bazillion pink nicotiana and yellow calendula volunteers.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Hi Esther! Will bring you the anemones. Love to get some white ones. Could I also have some of the Corydalis? Thanks!
Celene, if you have any blue flax, I would be glad to have some..thanks.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Esther what color do the epimediums flower?

Ric

morehead, KY(Zone 6a)

Esther, I would love a start of the anemones and epimediums(any color)
Celene any volunteer pink nicotiana that need a home would be nice.

That is one thing I love about this new house. I finally have sun and shade areas.
Geo

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Esther, I would like a flowering quince and a nandina, please.

Celene, in addition to the ninebark, I would like the campanulas and the dianthus and the Cecile Brunner rose. Geesh, I sound greedy.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ooo Ooo Ooo I want one of those butterfly bushes, too, Celene! I've never seen one of those before!

Celene i will like a bazillion pink nicotiana :)
LOL just kidding but i would like some i need to fill in some places.

morehead, KY(Zone 6a)

Pat could I have a start of the bleeding heart?
George

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Esther, is your white anemone the same as Pat has? Hers is Anemone sylvestris. I know there are several white ones. Does yours bloom in the spring?
Just trying not to duplicate.

South Point, OH(Zone 6a)

Mine blooms in the fall - not sure of the name, I might find it on some list......

Philo, OH(Zone 6a)

I am looking for any shade wildflower. So far I think I have glass balls and glass flowers. Any requests? No promises but I can try.

(Zone 5b)

Celene, I'd love to have a cutting of ninebark if you have any left!

daylilydaddy, I'll have some daylilies if you want!

Sue, the Silkie Roo can have your name written on him, he's a sweet cutie pa-tootie and looks like a punk rocker LOL

Annie

cool ! my GH is the next chicken coop and i m putting the little hen in their when her babys hatch and they are old enough to go into a coop area. I just have to fence off an area so they can go out . He will fit in fine i think. So it will be her and him together with the little babys . If you think that may work ? or i will build another smaller coop for him ? or we will see what happens.
thanks ! my dd will love it !!

Columbus, OH

I wish I could have chickens, I actually miss my mother's chickens, I liked them. They had a lot of chickeny personality, lol. When she passed away, we gave them to one of her friends who had chickens, so I know they're well cared for and happy. We can't have them here in suburbia.

Joyce, you don't sound greedy at all. I'd be throwing out the rose trimmings and the ninebark and willow if I didn't throw them in the dirt to try to root. None of them compost well, and unless I'm feeling like weaving wreaths from the willow or dogwood (all that spare time in the spring, lol), they end up in recycling. Might as well root them and give them away, it's good gardening karma.

(Zone 5b)

Sue, you're an awesome chick mommy for giving your little hen some fertile eggs to set. The Buff Silkie roo, his name is K, which is short for KFC, will have a great home with you. I don't think you need to build anything special for him and his girlfriend LOL.

I also have a black Silkie pullet, if you want her she's yours. Her name is Vivian and she would really hate to have her name changed. LOL. She is sooo sweet and her feathers are so fluffy and furry it looks like she's wearing PJ's. Silkies are famous for being broody so with the hen you have now and then a Silkie hen they could be full time incubators for you!! haha You could have lots of baby chicks running around.

I have heard when introducing a new chicken to do it at night right about when they are going to roost. They'll go to sleep and not stay up all night fighting. Then in the morning get up early and make a big deal out of feeding them, they bond over eating.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Rebecca, do you want any woodland phlox? It's the purple stuff... ^_^

Thanks Celene...I feel better. I think Bonnie is looking for a Cecile Brunner...if you have extra, you might save one for her.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Does anyone have that rose colored malva? I keep throwing seeds down for that, and I'm just not having any luck. I have a TON of the zebrina though...

I'm also looking for some red hens and chicks. Anyone have that?

I hope you're looking at my list...I add to it almost everyday!

Columbus, OH

Joyce, shockingly I have red hens and chicks, too. They have kind of a fun story...my parent's home was built by Quakers in the 1830's, and was used in the underground railroad. They planted hens and chicks outside the back door, and these are "babies" from those that have grown there since probably the 1840's at least. The superstition is that they protect the house from lightning. So these are chicks with history :)

(Zone 5b)

Is the Malva the same as the Mallow? If so I have some pink Mallow you are welcome too. That stuff blooms it's heart out all summer long.
