Could someone tell me what this is?? I have never seen one before & wonder if it is a beneficial insect or not... of course I haven't seen one since taking this photo, so sorry for it not being the best.

A longhorn beetle (Cerambycidae) of some sort.

Oh, I did place a thread on the other file.. I am so sorry I forgot to put SOLVED on this one.. I found out it is a Cottonwood Borer.. we have cottonwood trees in the area so this makes sense.
