Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Dahlia-LOL!! Wish I could send you one or two, but those flakes have to stop first.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Congrats on your Rufous Margaret..I would love to see one!

Sweet Anna, Duc.

Dahlia...any day now for you...I hope! Glad your red bows survived and hope your weather clears up!!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I was playing with the background coloring in my photos while out on our upper deck yesterday. I liked the yellow leaves on this Persimmon tree next door. In late fall the leaves turn a beautiful red-perfect for more photos.

The green leaves of the Apple trees make good background colors for this Anna's hummer.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Wish, I could see those Anna, and Rufous here. fabulous photos Duc.
Dahlia, love your little bird habitat. And that big bow, will surely be a welcome home sign for your little hummers. Now you'll have to patient and thump feet and fingers like me in the meantime. lol That snow is hitting an area, about 60 km from us, hope it's the last we hear off it this season.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

WHOO HOOO red monarda magnet broke ground ^_^ On a down note: snow tomorrow. CRAPPOLA! Work with me mother nature, Baby o Baby work with me. mi mi mi

Another one.

This poor water-soaked bird looked like it had been out in the rain too long. I'd have loved to catch it long enough to wipe it off, but before I could get out there, it was scared off by an Oriole.

ROTFLOL Dahlia! We are fine with that. :-)

Wonderful shots of your beautiful Anna's Duc! Wow the one on the feeder is really sopping wet!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

LOL Duc, this background thing is amusing to me because I was considering buying some really pretty Forest or flower print material to hang behind the chickadee house instead of seeing my ratty old garage that needs painted.

oh, and of course beautiful hummies! ♫♬ ♩Still Jealous after allll these years. ♫♬ ♩

Marlton, NJ

Thats a good idea Mrs Ed! Maybe I could hang some on my fence! ;-)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Mrs Ed we could do a hummer duet ^_^ Duc/all do they groom the water off or fluff? I have never seen a wet hummer.

Marlton, NJ

I've never seen one that wet here. The ones I have seen both fluff and groom.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Thanks Pell.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Our hummers love it when my DH waters the lawn. They fly into the sprinkler water.

Here's a few older photos.

They fly right up to the hose nozzle.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

He does Pelle, but he tries to act like it's nothing-a guy thing I guess. Glad you all enjoyed the pictures.

Hummingbirds are quite intelligent and are known to remember places and people. Here's a link that will answer lots of questions people have about hummers.
