General question about repotting bulbs

Deltona, FL(Zone 9b)

Hello, I have a large pot of amaryllis bulbs that have apparently over the years grown quite large and have had baby bulbs. There are currently 7 flower stalks shooting up, several of which are about to open any day.

My question is: It seems that the pot is over crowded with bulbs, when is a safe time to separate them and repot? Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would probably wait until flowering is finished, just so you don't disturb the stems. Then you can unpot the colony, separate any of the baby bulbs you want to relocate and at the same time give the old group some new compost.

Do you have any photos of these bulbs - sounds like a wonderful display!

Thanks for the info!

A pic of one of the soon to be blossoms... I can't wait to see what color they will be! I inherited a bunch of plants and these bulbs last year after my hubby's g-ma passed.
