Using daffs to protect tulips from rabbits

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

Posted these pics on another forum, but thought they might help here. I had tried to grow the Kaufmann tulips Hearts Delight for years, but the rabbits would either dig them up and eat them or bite them as they were blooming. Last year I tuch a few WP Milners around them, and in fact around my yard near any susceptible plant. For the first time in years (despite rabbit chewing in other spots with no daffs) I have tulips.

I used this technique around other plants and it worked. WP Milner can be gotten very cheaply. Brebt and Becky and McClure and Zimmerman were the sources I used. They bloom pale yellow, and tend to fade to white.
