Blue or Silver dahlias

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I guess it's really a lavender, if I'm lucky. What is a good cultivar and is there a good source at this late date?

You could go to Swan Island's website and do a search just for blue they have quite a few blue/lavender ones. My favorite of theirs is "Outta Da Blue" check it out and see if that's to your liking. Hope that's helpful. Another place you may want to look is Clack's Dahlia Patch. That's where I got my "Worton Blue Streak" tuber from.

Thank youi Ede, I'll ck it out. I saw Blue boy (?) in the PF but the pics looked pretty pink, which is the case w/ many bluish plants. I know there is no such thing as blue, just want something that will look blue enough when planted w/ other blue stuff.

Blue Bell is that lavender with sort of a bluish cast also, and a nice little 3 footer that would blend into a perennial scheme well. But I've heard that Worton Blue Streak is an excellent choice in that color as well.
