Japanese loquat propagation

Sumter, SC

I need to trim some lower branches (about the size of a quarter in diameter) on my japanese loquats. Has anyone out there successfully rooted cuttings this big? Thanks.

Tried and no luck.

Most of your growth hormones will be in the newer, more tender growth.

Thanks, Core and ardesia. I hate when I waste yard time rooting things that aren't viable. Now I can focus on a million other tasks that need to be completed.
