I have 3 potted JM's in the garage. The buds are swelling and I have repotted them. How do you decide the best time to bring them out of the storage into nature? The rain has stopped and temperatures are mostly above freezing at night, supposed to start getting in the 50s and 60s next week. In the past I've waited until they were mostly leafed out, but I'm wondering if that is really necessary.
When to bring trees out of storage
i am bringing mine out friday - and watching the weather and will bring them in if the weather changes.
interested in what others are doing.
I brought all my trees out today. Some were at least half-out, some barely started. Night time temperatures are supposed to be mid- to high 30's, day time temperatures 50-60's. I was worried they wouldn't have enough light if I didn't get them out. Nice to have them back in the yard where I can enjoy them.
hope they have some protection from the sun for a couple more weeks - mine are out and under the back deck to acclimate.
