My first sprouts are Hollyhocks.
These are the true perennial kind: Antwerp hybrids.
They were sowed as WS on February 23.
What is sprouting in those jugs?
Really behind the 8 ball this year. Still haven't done the ws
I have quite a few things in jugs on the front step. BTW, I found that windshield washer solution bottles (for those of us who don't get milk in jugs) work quite well and there's a ready supply in the winter if I raid collection points in a parking garage I frequent. (Except this winter was a slow one - almost no snow.)
I have portulaca sprouting. Also sweet peas. Lots of other stuff planted - will have to go make a list and examine what had germinated.
Ann
Good idea with the windshield washer bottles, Ann.
I've wintersowed some Arisaemas and unusual trees. No action yet.
Sandy
Joanne---you are a working girl and a Mom of a young daughter.
I am always amazed at what you are doing!
Anyone else trying their hand at Bacopa?
I tried bacopa a few years back and it did not do all that well.
This year I have sprouts on three of the WS.
Hollyhocks
Lavatera
Perennial Candytuft (sowed in a tray outdoors on March 19).
