An old friend comes home

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

I beaded this ostrich egg many years ago for a friend as a commission piece. She had two pet iguanas and wanted something that included them. She recently died and her children ask me if I wanted to have it in her memory. Well, of course I want to have it back bot I couldn't afford to buy it back for what I charged for the piece. No, they just wanted to give it back to me.Wow! I was surprised. It arrived yrsterday in a cardboard box wrapped in newspaper. I was terrified to open it just knowing the damage that had happened to it in the mail. I was exstatic when I saw this immaculate egg with every bead in place.
It took four months to bead this piece and I wanted to share it with you all. I will post a couple of pics individually

Wow, that is so pretty! I can't imagine taking that much time to do what you do, but must be so rewarding when you get it done!
