Our house is on a fairly busy corner so we're planting bushes to 'enclose' the yard more, and I also want to plant perennial vines to clamber over the fences. At some spots there's only cement at the base of the fence, no soil - so I'll try hanging planters on the fence at those spots, or train the vines to travel from the nearby soil. I'm in zone 6 and the vine would get a fair amount of sun. There's no problem with deer.
Can anyone recommend a perennial vine that will fill in fairly quickly and that I can start from seed? I want to start seeds ASAP, would rather not wait till next year.
need perennial vine recommendation - will start from seed
If you want to trade for a plant of sweet autumn clematis, I can get you one - these are beautiful, fragrant and stay green most of the year.
KayJones,
Don't clemantis need their feet to be shaded? Much of this area gets pretty relentless sun.
Yes.
