I love this plant. I had one for about a year, then it just up and died :(

That really is a great photo! Love the look of that plant, the spirals are really cool. I would have never known it was an Aloe but the only one I'm familiar with is the common Aloe Saponaria that grows here in Florida.

The growth pattern of the leaves is in the mathematical series known as the ‘Fibonacci numbers’ This can also be seen in pinecones etc.

I would love to own this plant but have been discouraged because it apparently is very finicky.
