hope it's an enjoyable day for you!!!
Happy Birthday Stormyla!
Happiest of birthdays!!!
Thank you, everyone. What beautiful blooms to brighten my day.
Allison, Is that Patty's Plum? It is lovely.
Ronnie, That butterfly photo is spectacular.
Jen, Thank you for that lovely Jersey Hydrangea.
Ric, I love your Daylily, Thanks for sending it.
My goodness Diva, Are those pretty snowdrops blooming now? I want to smell them!
Actually, stormy, that photo is from a few years ago, taken in early March, but they're starting to poke their heads up now. I've been in and out of town a lot the last few weeks, and am way out of any routine, so I should take a walk around outside to see if any eranthus or hellebores are beginning to bloom... Spring is getting closer!!!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
AHHH--Stormy--my friend!
Hope you have a smashing Birthday today!
Think all good thoughts!
Take the time to just relax!
NO worries or fretting today--promise?
Take a long bubble bath tonight
Tell someone you love them a lot
Believe it when they say the same back to you!
And--do something totally out of character for you--just today!
To use an some old advice that's been around a bit----
"Yesterday is past
Tomorrow is the future
But today is a gift--
That is why it is called the "present"......
Love, Gita
Thanks, Gita. That's a lovely poem and I'll keep it's message in mind.
So happy that my computer came back just in time for me to wish you:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Such a pleasure getting to know you, Mary.
Regards,
Teri
Well, that's a lovely gift in itself. Thanks, Teri.
Thank you, Lady. Those lovely Salomes should help tide me over till April.
And Bec, thank you for that wonderfully warm shot of those boys. It sure looks like things have calmed down at your house.
Oh Goody. Lady, on your recommendation, I put in some of those Chionodoxa this fall. I can't wait to see them.
Stormy, I was wishing that I had a pic of some fireworks for you thinking celebration. Then I found this from last years Phila.Flower Show it reminded me of fireworks. Happy, Happy Birthday Stormy. My the day be all you could wish for.
Gita what a lovely poem and I just love your old saying. I've never heard that. Holly

Passport to the World
I probably should have asked on that thread. Would bump it up again.
Thanks!
Holly and Stormy---
Now that i think about it--I think I first saw that "poem" in the Comics----under "Family Circus"....Little Billy (?) was explaining it to his little brother.
It just stuck in my mind as "significant'.....and, OH, so true!
G.
Stormy--I forgot to send you a flower.......Here's the HD Rose---"Orange passion". Bought it the year it was hybridized by Jackson Perkins for HD--and have never seen it again! NOT the hardiest of Roses...it has been so-so since I bought it--maybe 7 years(?) ago????
Gita, It may be a so - so grower, but it is gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing it.
Stormy, I think it was Mason Williams sang: "Have a few toots in (Y)our birthday suits, an I sure ain't talkin' bout beers". Hope it was a GREAT DAY, for a great lady. Ric
Thank you, Claypa! Those are some gorgeous Helenium seasoned with your usual Magic dust!
Rick, you are too funny! Thank you!!
"Make new friends and keep the old,
One is silver and the other is gold"
Don't know where that came from but I like it.
Best wishes for a great year!
Sally, That was our standard song in Girl Scouts, if I recall we ended every meeting with it.
Thanks, Sally. I know that ditty from childhood too, but I was never a scout. My mom missed the deadline for enrolling me and the next year they said I was too old to be a brownie. Heck, I had a lot of fun playing in the woods by myself.
My troop was "THE" brownie troop to be in, I took them over night cabin camping. I spent a lot of training time, since my Counsel did not allow overnighters for Brownies back then. I was the first.
I bet you were great at it, Chris!
Stormy, I learned a very important lesson after the first time. If I let the girls have basically a free-for-all (with in reason) pillow fights and stuff, the first night, it was a lot easier the next day to get down to business.
I would make a camp fire outside for the moms to sit around and send one into the cabin to do a quick safety check. Every once in a while a Brownie would come out and sit for awhile to get a break from the mayhem.
Since I've been MIA for a few days I missed posting on your thread but since DG is my homepage at least I didn't miss the opportunity to wish you a Happy Birthday :)
VWR, That is the most beautiful birthday cake. Thank you for sharing it with me.
RCN, I really appreciated your Dmail waiting for me when I awoke. It was a great Birthday, everyone. Thank you so much for your well wishes!
Sorry I missed your birthday. Hope it was a great day!
Susie, Yes it was! Thank you so much for your greeting.
