Santa Claus Dinner Plate Dahlia? Massive 8 inch blooms? Come on! Could they have really done that? Its a BB. I fell for this last year with Park Seed and their monster 8-10" Kogane Fubuki claims.

Giant Mutant Santa Claus?
Maybe they came from that one dahlia farm Mark McGwire started up.
LOL
Of course, everything in that site are massive or gigantic or being fed with steroids!
Ever heard of a LILY TREE??!!

Regardless how tall a lily plant is, it's still not a tree!
HAHAHA! I just got this link in my email. So, I thought I would meander through their selections on a whim. I saw all their listings of enormous, up to 10" colossal emperor, etc. and remembered why I don't order from them. Not to mention the super accurate portrayal of color.
Well, not to totally diss them, I have had excellent results with their tubers/bulbs. Every year I've bought the Kenora Macop B (labeled Kenora Macob), and it grew very well. I also buy a ton of tulip bulbs from them.
OK, for those of us who have not grown these varieties, care to provide more info??
Krowten - Santa Claus and Kogane Fubuki dahlias got blooms of 4-6" and NOT 8-10" therefore classified as 'BB' size dahlias, hence the description is wrong and can't be called 'dinner plates'
'A' size is 8-10", 'AA' size is 10" or larger (dinner plates).
Even if they were up to 8-10 inch blooms wouldn't they have to be renamed?
Thanks Tex in NJ!
