Avast vs Comodo?

I have 2 computers, and have been using Comodo happily,other than the constant alerts when you are doing something! I tried Avast on one, and it seems much less intrusive- I wonder if it is doing a good job since it doesn't tell me everything it does! Any opinions? I may take Comodo off the other one-
