Great photos everyone, glad to see more and more people getting out to see our feathered friends in their natural environments.

Burd, your photos have gotten noticeably better over the past weeks. Is this an equipment upgrade or just your improvement as a photographer? Either way keep up the good work. I feel I could say the same for several other photographers here. The quality of photographs just keeps improving.

Cute bleached Goldfinch Marna. Hey good job getting that Eagle shot. Pretty.
Duc, lovely Quail and Scrub Jay. I'll only get to see them here, on DG's
Nanny, I want your little Nuthatch.
Thanks for the nice bird variety, always a pleasure to see them all.
I went out looking, for the Snow Bunting yesterday, found some, but they stood way to far, to get a close shot of them.
I have a bunch of them on the roof of a barn.

Finally, Hairy WP returned, after it being gone for some time.
It's in the shade unfortunately, but glad he came around.

Thx Chris. I bought a Canon Rebel T1i (Dec. 12th) which improved the sharpness of my pictures, but I take lots of photo's and delete way more than I keep. Ive come to the conclusion that image stabilization is the key to nice "focused/sharp" shots. I will be ordering a remote for my camera which will help greatly. Of course camera settings are key to.

Mrs Ed, cute photo of the different finches.
Nanny, cute photos of your birds. That cowbird sure is pretty.
Burn, I had to look up that Snow Bunting-gee, they're beautiful too. Your hairy is just adorable! That white around the eyes looks cute with the tiny black lines through it.

This Bald Eagle seems to prefer the lower branches of the tall pines.

A lot of great photos on this thread. Of course, I am always prejudice toward the Bald Eagle photos. burn, I like your Hairy Woodpecker. I haven't seen one for a few years. Anyway, great photos everyone, but time to move on to the next thread.

We have mostly downy wp. Don't know why as there are plenty of wood around. Occasional red-bellied ones & I know that there is at least one piliated during the summer.
