Sewing machine info needed.

I've been saving up my money to buy a good sewing machine.
I now have almost $250.00. I'm a newbie to sewing but since
I'll be retiring soon, I want to start sewing making craft projects
and down the line some quilits. I've been searching the Brothers
sewing machine sites to learn about their machines. I would like
one that has automatic threading and some other special features.
Any input anyone would have would be greatly appreciated. thanks
