I saw it last night in 3D IMAX. I was sort on the right edge (about 6 seats in from the aisle) and only 3 rows back. IMAX does really allow everyone a good seat. The story was simple - The Indians win and all the Europeans go home! (at least that is my simplistic take of it all) The 3D was natural and really did come out of the screen, but not IN YOUR FACE!
The plants are amazing! I intend to buy Avatar: An Activist Survival Guide which gives more detail on the plants, such as Aloeparilus succulentus, common name: Dapophet, or Na vi name: Paywll.
It was a very enjoyable evening.
