This small black and white bird appeared with a mixed flock of black-eyed juncos and white throated sparrows about a week ago, northern Ga. in a fairly forested area. In all ways, it's feeding and other behavior matches the juncos. For a couple days I was excited that it was possibly a black and white warbler, but have only observed it feeding on the ground, never climbing up trees or any nuthatch-like behavior. It's size corresponds with the junco's (there is a junco in this picture, lower left, for comparison). Bill is similar to a junco or sparrow, pink. Breast is white. Photos showing other perspectives to follow. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Probably a partial albino Dark-eyed Junco.

Thank you both: I had suspected a mutation, but didn't know for sure that was a possibility. The explanation of a "partial albino dark-eyed junco" is very satisfying.
