and I had a bloom on Ernest Markham last Saturday. I was out wrapping hydrangea and sure enough I had a bloom.
I shouldn't be surprised since the roses were still blooming. I need to get them winterized too but it has been to warm until this week. Now they are snow covered but maybe the ground will finally freeze.

Wow. I had to read that 3 times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
I've had Henryi bloom in December but not Ernest Markham. Everything was grand until about December 11th and then it really got cold and we got our first frost. I knew it was too good to last!
