Entada Rheedii

Morgan Hill, CA(Zone 9b)

my brother gave me 3 Entada Rheedii seeds after he came back from a trip to fiji. i cracked one into a thousand pieces(on accident), the other rotted in the ground, and now i am left with one. they're kindof semental so i realy want to try and get it to sprout. someone described how to sow them on a comment on the plantfiles page but i was woundering where you drill the hole, and how big, and how deep do i need to put it in the soil??? thankyou

I found this info:

I have never grown them but I have found that some hard seeds do well soaked in some water with hydrogen peroxide added, it somehow helps to break down the hard shell. I am not so sure I would want to experiment if I only had one seed though...

Good luck with your precious seed and keep us posted!

It grows along the coast here, Ive seen it often but never knew what it was. Haven't tried to grow it but usually with hard coated seeds all you have to do is file through the seed coat, soak for a day or two in water and then plant. Only keep filing until you reach the white part and no further.
