Was this mislabeled as an Amaryllis?

Humble, TX

I got this as a seedling at a Round up and it was labeled as an Amaryllis, but I have never seen an Amaryllis send off a side shoot like this. What do you think?

Might it be a Crinum?

It is almost certainly a Crinum. Compare the roots to hippeastrum. That, alone, tells me what it is. Most Crinum also have thinner leaves, than Hippeastrum. It is an amaryllid, but not likely an Amaryllis, either.

I have some Crinum Erubescens var. Octifloras that reproduce by sending out runners. It is one of the few crinum that reproduce this way.
Perhaps, yours is this same variety.

It looks exactly like what I know as Crinum americanum. Is C. erubescens a new name for that one or is it a whole different plant?

Could be a Belladonna lily, sometimes also called Amaryllis.

Actually, I think there are a few hippeastrum species with will produce via stolons, though, having said that, I don't think this is an amaryllis, either.
