A free source for distilled water

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 4b)

I wondered if I could use melted snow to water my carnivorous plants. According to the folks at the OSU Extension, I can.

Snow is one thing we have no shortage of.

Anybody know if roof runoff is OK?

Yes you can use snow. After all, it's just frozen rain! Go for it!

My rainwater falls off the roof and into my buckets. I hope it is o.k.
I've been using it, anyhow.

No need to worry about minerals (from the shingles) being in the runoff from a roof?

No. Mine runs off my roof too. I have no problems.
