Please help.. there are Ants in my pottery clay!

Morehead City, NC

Ok, so I set up my clay studio in my out building, and because I'm short of space, I stored several boxes of my Highwater clay on the floor under my work table. Yesterday, when I pulled out a new box to use, I find that the ants have inhabited both bags of clay. I'm dreading opening the other two boxes afraid of what I'll find. I'm open to any suggestion as to how to bait the ants to draw them out of the clay so I can still use it. I really don't want to spray the clay with insectacide as I don't want to work in the insectacide, nor do I want to pick all the individual dead ants out of the clay or my work. Thank you in advance for any help.
