Shade Flower Suggestions

NE, SD(Zone 4b)

There is a flower seed co-op currently in progress and I would like to purchase seeds to be planted in an area that is mostly shade. This area gets late afternoon sun. I am looking for suggestions as to what could be planted. thank you.

Browalias are nice. And of course Impatiens will work, but they take awhile to grow to a decent size from seed.

Not to forget Coleus. Always good for shade. Though your zone 4 temperatures may slow them down a bit, as they like heat.

Petunias would be a "maybe", depending upon how much shade.

Begonias, hypoestes, forget-me-nots, balsam.

And for perennials, astilbes or digitalis.
