I've never encountered it before...when I first saw it ,it had it's back to me ...but what surprised me the most was it's beautiful iridescent green feathers...the images don't seem to convey this too well.

I'll listen tonight for the Peee Pees LOL!!

Brical1,
to me your picture looks more like the Shining Bronze-cuckoo: http://davesgarden.com/guides/birdfiles/showimage/365/
The Horsefield Bronze-cuckoo: http://davesgarden.com/guides/birdfiles/showimage/357/ has a brown stripe through the eye, the barring on the breast does not meet across the breast and it is much less iridescent green on its back.
Both species should be about in inland SE Queensland,

G'Day, The three species I listed in the bird forum can be in Bricals area and since I am only familiar with the Horsfield Bronze I couldn't rule the other two out.
Although the first listed is the least common of the three.

Ok then, should I go with 'Shining Bronze-cuckoo' as the most likely I.D...Kennedy...Stake:?

No use looking at me Brical as I said above I have never seen the 2 less common species.

Hi, the Horsfield's Bronze Cuckoo has red around it's eye.
I think I would go with the Shining Bronze Cuckoo.
My references are the Simpson & Day Field Guide & the Reader's Digest Field Guide.
Good luck.
