Last spring I planted a red abyssinium (false banana) that is now 14 ft tall. The rootball is huge, so digging it up is not an option. Is it likely to survive my zone 8 winter if I cover it with frost cloth and pine straw?

Once they get that big they always come back at least here they do. Mine are all burnt from the temps going into low 30's if you did whay you said your were your good :)
