this was given to me , during the summer it had the most amazing coloration..bronzy,burgundy with green, spectacular in the garden! anybody have a guess
on it's name?

It's not a coleus but a close relative, Perilla, aka Shiso or beefsteak plant.

Chris, thank you so much! How is this plant different from the coleus?
For one thing, you can eat it. Other than that, you would have to ask a taxonomist. As far as I know, you can't cross a coleus with a perilla.
