Dipladenia seed pods

Chapel Hill, NC(Zone 7b)

This is not my plant, but I was asked to find out what to do with all the seed pods, i.e. can/should they be cut off now or does she have to wait till spring? This is zone 6a, I believe, or b? If the seeds scatter now, will they even do anything, or freeze to death in winter?

Many thanks,
C.

Look in plant files, under mandevilla, That might help.
I hope I did this right, but it said it is unknown
how to plant seeds. I guess no one has tried.
Maybe someone that really knows what they are doing
can help.

Actually, she wants to know when to get rid of all the seed pods, now or in spring. Apparently, they are quite a nuisance right now.

why couldn't she just break them off. No problem then.
The plant is just trying to reproduce itself, so taking them off
will not hurt it. It is actualy taking strength from growing into
making unnecessary seed. Snip them off.
