H. Fragrance Dancing Princess

Ewing, VA

It's name says it all....

FDP slept for almost 6 months since I planted it. It is a tiny 14 cm bulb. Finally it decided to wake up last month and it's first flower was a double.

Oh how pretty I thought. But then I remembered that it was supposed to be a single flowered one. Further inspection as it's flowers fully opened revealed that it was 2 FUSED flowers!!!

Bummer!!! But that's ok...It did have the sweetest fragrance that you can smell even if you are a few feet away.

Now this is it's second and "TRUE" flower.

Definitely another H. reticulatum sibling.

Will it have that white center stripe on it's leaves like Mrs. Garfield and H. reticulatum var striatifolium????

The leaves, 3 weeks after it woke up....
