My sons girlfriend asked me if I could take a look at her quilt and repair it? I said sure bring it over. OH MY! Her deceased Grandmother made it for her before she was born. It is falling apart/disintegrating.(25 yrs) The fabric is so thin and torn. Sewing seams back together won't work. She doesn't want new fabric added because of the sentimental value. I was thinking a double sided thin facing cut to fit between the front and back between the squares and then maybe sew a ribbon down the seams. It's such a mess :(
Any ideas?
