I would like to overwinter my Boston Fern. Last year I put it in my greenhouse and it did really great, but took up a lot of room with all the fronds.
Would I be able to give the entire plant a haircut to the soil line and have it grow back? If so, it would probably take a few months for it to regenerate the fronds and therefore give me more room in my greenhouse.
Give me your thoughts or experience in doing this.

I wouldn't cut it all the way back to the soil line, but you can cut it back to make room in the GH. I take it your GH is heated.
Yes, it is heated...How far back would you cut it?
I'd leave a few inches. It's going to look funny, but you'll have room then.
Thanks for the responses.
