mosaic question (beginner)

Hi
I wanted to glue my stain glass mosaic pieces to mesh before I hang on my wall. However I am noticing as I plan out my design that the mesh can be seen through my stained glass tiles..... Are there any other options of materials or backing i can use that won't show through?
