Hi Guys,
I have been trying to name this plant for a very long time and it has decided to flower!
Can anybody help me put a name to it?
Thanks,
Debi
At LAST, it has flowered!
How about Mesembryanthemum, Debi
Hey Colleen,
Nice to hear from you.
The closest I could get to a total correct ID was two choices:
1/ Mesembryanthemum "copiosum", but the flowers are different colour!
2/ Mesembryanthemum "herbaceum" has a white flower?
Debi
We have a stack of these in white and also pink. They do come in orange as well. I know them to be 'pig face'. Tomorrow, if the sun happens to shine, I will take a photo for you and post it. They close on cloudy days and at night. On sunny days they open big and wide. They are gorgeous and flower all through spring/summer and into autumn.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the help and the effort you all have done for me.
Jan, do you know if I can take a cutting and grow another one???
Can't wait to see the other colours, I also love this plant's looks.
Thanks Heaps,
Debi
P.S.
Would you guys know if there are any "seeds" in the old flower of this bromilaid that I could harvest??
