I think I'll give you folks a break from the bluebirds and start a tufted titmouse thread. I think they come around here often enough that I can keep it going. At least I will try. I may need some help. They are such cute birds, if they would only stay still for a minute.

Trying to photograph the Tufted Titmouse
Great pics Dave! They are wonderful little birds and a favorite in my yard.
What do you mean a break from the bluebirds???
Your Titmouse photos are equally beautiful Dave. I have no idea how you ever caught that one in flight! Amazing! These are beautiful birds and more colorful than our local Oak Titmice-which we feed chopped unsalted peanuts daily. Maybe I should try the meal worms. I've always thought these were the sweetest little birds and every spring our babies keep up laughing with their cute antics.

DH spotted a titmouse hanging around--'time to put up the feeder' it says.
Their adorable Dave!
They are unbelievably cute/sweet/adorable. Wonderful photos, Dave.
For those of you who may not have seen this thread that Dave did quite some time ago, have a look. It'll make your day. I go and have a look at it every few months just to warm my heart and have a laugh. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/814353/
Beautiful shots. I was trying to figure out what the Titmouse reminds me of and finally it hit me...Little Orphan Annie. It's those eyes of black!
Thank you Margaret. I remember that thread because Mrs Ed went on to make a wonderful collage and I have a poster-size beautifully framed, hanging in the foyer. But I had forgotten I had put the other silly birds on there.
Yes, GP, those shiny black bulgy eyes do make them so cute. And they always look so clean.
Duc. If you like titmice in flight, here is another.
Incredible pictures Dave!!! And I enjoyed that link Margaret, the one trying to get the parents attention is "priceless" and the House Finch got his butt whooped while the wife watched lol, bet it was quiet at the nest that night lol. Really enjoy your threads Dave!!
Thanks Burd. Incidentally, folks, I will be out of the net again this weekend.
Driving up to Jersey today to attend a wedding and vist with some friends we haven't seen for a few years. Back on Sunday. Hope my birds don't give up on me. Someone should invent a contraption on a timer where the dish of meal worms would rotate out every so often. Thankfully there are still a lot of insects around.
Dave
Thanks for posting more of the birds in flight. They are incredible!! Dave, please hurry back, I'm anxious to see more!
Margaret, thanks for posting the link, I loved seeing all the photos-wow!
What awesome pics. Loved that old thread, too funny.
Where in NJ Dave?
ooo, so jealous about all these good pictures.
that reminds me, we need to do a "belly button" thread! I think Rose has a bunch of goldfinch doing that!
Another beautiful series Dave...they are so hard to photograph I am amazed that you got so many shots.
I am glad Margaret gave a link to the past thread of these darling birds...it is one of my all-time favorites!
Flowerjen, we were in Flemington. What a beautiful area. The wedding was outdoors and the day was absolutely gorgeous!!
We are on our way home now and have stopped off in Baltimore for a brief visit with my mother in law.
Dave
That is a great area, I have friends out that way and my dad grew up in Baptistown.
