I have a Hydroponic fountain. I planted a couple of gourd plants in this fountain just to see what would happen... The plant is huge! I have a lot of gourds starting. I use a good grow food. Now some of the tiny gourds are dying from the bottom up. They are only about an inch long. I don't want to lose my gourds.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening?
Oh, the plant is in a greenhouse, and I don't see any insects. In fact the plant is so huge, I named it Audrey two. ( After the man eating plant in the play Little Shop of Horrors!)
Gourds dying on the vine
That sounds like a problem I had last year. Do you know what kind of gourd vine it is?
Bird house gourds, I think!
If they are very small I would guess lack of polination...it hapened to mine last year...try somehand polination. Jo
