Can anyone help with me with my James McFarlane lilac? It has started sprouting double flowers (wa-ay past the season for this!)
It is about 5 years old and has never done this. It may have something to do with the scale (see 2nd post) but I don't know.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here is a picture of the scale infestation. I know I have to spray with horticulture oil for this, but don't know if the 2 problems are related.
