into clay?

I was looking on the ETSY website and fell in love with this one potter who impresses lace into clay.Go on ETSY and then to pottery and Ceramics and then EARTHBORNE ART. I have been playing with it this week. I found a box of old lace that was my step-grandmother's. The clay is still wet so I haven't glazed anyting yet.
Have any of you ever used fabrics in your clay pieces?
