Hummingbird Adventures # 17

Maybe lots of tasty little trapped bugs in the gh? Hummer sushi bar?

Hardly any bugs in the gh, except wasps. Seems as if somebody is eating them. : - )
Still running a fever, overdid today. The critters both 2 and 4 footed were hungry so I had to go to the store. Sigh. Did get a couple of photos, and hope to post them tomorrow. Right after I get those poor plants watered!
Forgot and left water on in gh. Got to go turn it off!

Sorry for the delay and thank you for your indulgence.
Here is a photo I really liked that will start off on September the 4th, and I'm way behind, but will give you the dates as they come up. Some days I was able to take photos and some days I was too sick. Lets see what I got.

That hummer perched there for a long time.

Hiding in the corner.

Hanging out.

Like the old decorative lantern in the background,and the hummers beady eye.

I liked this one too.

That leaf is in the way, and the hummer seems to think it hides her completely. Looks like the shy baby.

I think the hummer is doing the twist.

Appears Sweetie Pie popped in to check on her brood.

Or is that Sweetie Pie?

I remember Sweetie Pies spot under her chin being redder and rounder. Must be a baby.

That last post finished up the 4th. I didn't get any photos on the 5th, so here we are on the 6th of September.
I was able to get several photos of the hummer perched among the bougainvillea.

I see color!

Or maybe a hummingbat?

BB is back.

Sing a little song, dance a little dance! Last one for the 6th.

Onto the 8th. I guess I skipped the 7th completely.
This little greeted me when I opened the door to the gh that morning.

As I recall it was very hungry and didn't seem to mind I was closer than normal.

Look at all those polka dots. It almost looks like it has measles!

On the 9th I had these visitors.

It visited for a while.

Still hungry after feeding for quite a few photos too blurry to keep.

First hummer on the 10th of Sept.

I just love how they stuff their whole face in there to eat. : - )

I think this is the same hummer as in the first photo, but a couple of hours later.

Perched and looking around for the competition.

Makes it's break for the feeder.

Wow, you got some great shots there! I wonder if the spots on the breast indicate a juvenile---like on a robin?

I'm just sharing what I saw, am no expert. Lots of times they baffle me. Could be a juvenile, ima. Still got a few more to post and I'm on a roll. : - )
This hummer showed up later on in the day.
